Guruchat Question
Sorry, I couldn't think of a better title. Anyway, I was looking over the guruchat posts, and I couldn't help but notice that most of them are pretty much just spam and people asking if GT is taking new members. My question is, is it really a good idea to keep guruchat running? Right now it's just smiley spam and random letters, but I can't help but feel like soon we're going to be seeing political arguments and at least nine or ten other things prohibited in the Rules. I don't see too many people using it to answer actual questions other than "Is GT accepting new users?" so it seems to me like it's just going to slowly turn into a great big can o'
If you actually read this wall of text, thanks for your time. If not, thanks anyway.

Re: Guruchat Question
The whole point of guruchat is to let everyone get their spam out of them and not bring that crap onto the boards. Welcome to GT.

Re: Guruchat Question
guruchat is useful sometimes when the forums go down for maintenance. Chat isnt moderated much anymore but it would be easy to remove or have it erase posts daily. or remove it all. It runs with such (.0001%) little resources on the servers and site that I just ignore it usually. If there is no interest I can toss it, not an issue, If its an issue to you or you fear youll read spam or politics i would just do as I do and ignore the entire page (its just like its not there anymore)
The funny part has been that people get really blunt and sometimes rude in chat thinking they are not tracked but its actually more tracked in guruchat then on these forums. oh well fun stuff

Re: Guruchat Question
I haven't looked at Guru Chat in like forever, I just skip to the forums
Mainly because there is no need to use it unless you need to burn time or like Guru said when forums are down. It doesn't really hurt for them to get their spam out and I like the Guru Chat just being available when its needed.
