Pandemic II
every once in a while, there is a breakthrough flashgame that adds realistic gameplay to a amazing idea, and pandemic is one of them, or atleast to me.
Pandemic II is a game where you attempt to create a biological killer, or virus, and attempt to wipeout the population of earth (yes very gruesome =P) you can choose 3 types of carries, a virus, bacteria, or paracite. then you start plagueing the world, it is a awesome game, and it changes almost everytime u play it.

what do you guys think?

Re: Pandemic II
I've played this before, and it's very addicting. Very hard, too, which makes it all the better. I'd give it a 5/5.

Re: Pandemic II
Heh, when I saw the title, I thought you meant there was a new game developer called Pandemic 2.
The game is quite fun. It's really entertaining to see your disease spread and see how various countries respond to it. I have a hard time infecting Madagascar though. -_-

i prefer parasites, and i only upgrade the ways of infections and its immunities. that way it is nearly invisible until its to late, but i cant get madagascar yet, but its only a matter of time...

Re: Pandemic II
On my first playthrough, my infection actually started in Madagascar, but I didn't watch the tutorial so I was ig'nant on how to play the game
The only disease type I've tried is the Virus type.

'Tis the exact same method I use.i only upgrade the ways of infections and its immunities. that way it is nearly invisible until its to late

Japan is my problem country. Apparently all my diseases are deathly afraid of anime.

Re: Pandemic II
i think there's some kind of glitch in the game. i used the parasite pandemic, and infected the entire world (literally) except for Madagascar. now, every possible type of infection up like tier 3 is unlocked and enabled. how is it that Madagascar does not eventually get infected?

I think it's because the only access to Madagascar in the game is by boat. Not many boats go there I guess, and when Madagascar closes the ports, starts burning bodies, killing rodents and such, your disease has no way to get there.Lord Bardar wrote:i think there's some kind of glitch in the game. i used the parasite pandemic, and infected the entire world (literally) except for Madagascar. now, every possible type of infection up like tier 3 is unlocked and enabled. how is it that Madagascar does not eventually get infected?

waterborne, airborne... the whole island would die of dehydration.xII DM IIx wrote:I think it's because the only access to Madagascar in the game is by boat. Re: Pandemic II
remember this game is unrealistic man, to add all those real life reactions would overload a flashgame, i give them credit for getting it as realistic as it is.
and waterborne is ment for water treatment centers. ocean water is unaffected, and airborne is just like any cold symptom, it doesnt survive on its own, it MUST have a host, when u sneeze if the virus does not reach your body within 5 seconds, it dies, blam, thats it.
so really just look back to the black plague (one nasty monkey poker i might add) they knew so little about sanitation, they just knew their bodily waste smelled horrible, and that you can get sick from others, but they didnt really know the exact process. it spread from what scientists beleive was China, which was the thought starting place of the plague, and through rats stowing away on boats/ in homes/ in wagons, it was able to spread as the world started to interact with each other in ways other than war (of course corpses were flung from Trebuchets { or catapults if you prefer that term} to create a sort of sick twisted hell for soldiers inside a walled fortress. which also helped spread the plague)
but i'm getting slightly off topic, if madagascar doesn't trade with anyone (which i think most of the population doesn't mostly primitive natives, who enjoy their simple lives which i admire) the disease can't possibly spread on it's own. parasites, viruses, and bacteria must live off of other beings, which is a mixed blessing. and that is why madagascar is such a pain in the tushy. because madagascar is a area where theirs more animals than people. and trade is limited.
