Released Level Editing

Post by Grev »

Is it possible to edit a level you've downloaded? Lets say I want to revamp a previous map, but I lost all my files for it. All I have is the playable copy. Is it possible to edit it, the same way you would edit a shipped map?

You can hex-edit it, and there are some files you can extract (I think) somehow, but you can't load it back into ZeroEdit or anything.

you can change the sides by hex editing the mission.lvl file located in the LVL_PC folder. But I think thats about it.

I know that you can influence lvl-sides in a lua... Also, you can make a new map and use the world file only for example.. This way you can still make changes in the luas
