lol, or else we could just right-click and say: "save pic as" lol but no thanks - I dont know how to skin but I guess I just have to change the texture - but how do I that...? lol
ok well I think releasing it would be good (dont worry I still have your skins)
However you cant just save pic as becuase it has to be in .tga format to work in game
also Im free to skin something if anyone wants help. Im currently working with Chamboozer on some of his projects
I would like help. Mainly I would like to learn how to do it but if your interested I'm making a very jungle like map and I could units who look like they've been in the jungle. Mud covered, etc, etc.
Do you think you could make a species type skin, like say, the Noghri people? I'm not sure what that would involve, but if you can do it, I've got a very useful purpose for it. Here's some info:
^thats out of skinning you would need to create a new model for the creature. the skin could be done however the ability to make it look like that requires a modeler. skinning can only change the apperance of a model not create a new model. Pics of my latest skin (about 50% done)
skinning is very easy you just need bfbuilder and a current version of photoshop (v.6 and up) If you want more info just PM

ok fine sry about doing that truly sry my fault. I decide to edit my previous post and take them out however I will not delete the DC clone that one is my baby
You can replace it or use chamboozer's method. If you are adding a new unit from an existing, the OverrideTexture would be a more organized way to handle it. Choose what ever floats your boat.
Well if I want to use the skins shown here, for example, do I just replace the defaults with these, or do I need to add a line in the odf? If I need to do the latter, what's the correct format for adding the line, can you show an example?

add a line in the odf above the line that says CAMERASECTION called OverrideTexture. in the end it will look something like this:
OverrideTexture = "whatever your texture's name is"
RDST, so what what files do you edit? In the assets folder they have all the TGAs and crap, but wont that effect every mod u make? Im searching the other stuff right now for the same kind of TGA files(ie REP_inf_trooper, etc)
