Well that's unfortunate. The only retort I can say is, it's only Alpha, I'm pretty sure they'll fix alot of it before final release and know from the data they collected from the Alpha and soon the beta. It's pretty bad just judging a game if it's good or not while it's in just alpha with not all of it's features present.

But none the less, I do hope they fix that whole browser thing. It does sound like a pain. But I'm going to remain optimistic.

@Jendo7: Nice vid. I was expecting a part to show which part of the boarder they were fighting at in the game.
Not judging the game itself as bad. Like I said, the gameplay was awesome, even in that smallish Paris Metro Map. Its the way they make you get into the game which is horrible and a step back in my opinion. That and the encrypted config file, seriously, a good standard settings.ini is fine. Let the tweakers tweak and let the standard players play.

TOR and BF3 beta at the same watch. Haha.

Hopefully and that trailer just made me say, "OOO Pretty". I wasn't completely wow'd like Caspian Sea.

Battlefield Open Beta 29th of Sept

Open Beta will be out on the 29th of Sept but MOH limited edition, and tier 1 owner's will get 48 hour early access on the 27th. Operation Metro will be the map, and Rush mode, so basically it's the same as the Alpha test but it will be updated of course with major fixes etc.

Even though I'm pretty stoked, I would have liked to have seen Caspian Border 64 conquest instead but at least there is not long to wait till release.

Holy crap. This topic is honestly making me dislike the rule against posting in all caps, because I find it hard to reply in lowercase letters. I'm soooooooo stoked. Soooo. Stoked. SO STOKED.

*Wants it for PS3...NOW!!!*

My PC meets the minimum reqs, but I don't think it would play too smooth on medium settings. :(

Yeah, it's pretty steep, and Dice actually said that a 580GTX in sli, or 6990 crossfire would be needed for Ultra settings. I'll probably just manage low settings with my set up having a Nvidia 8800, and a Core 2 Duo CPU.

Really? Holy smokes. That's intense. Ya. If anything I'll move up from my 240 to a 400 series. I have the quad core and 4gb of ram. So mid settings for me.

Think it'll still be pretty at low settings? I'm guessing you're atleast giving bf3 another whirl with the beta Jendo7?

Yeah, low settings will be about the same as console graphics I reckon, which don't look too shabby but I just hope my PC just can handle it, being the minimum. I'll soon find out, fingers crossed. :)

In other BF3 news, looks like ps3 owners will get Back to Karkand first. A week ahead of atleast the 360. I'm assuming also the pc.

Hey a long time lurker here, I don't post that much anymore. I tried a bit of SWBF2 modding again with making new models, but I quit doing that again. My origin ID is Clearaschil I guess, that's the name that appears on the screen. :) I don't have anyone to play with yet, my WoW guild mates don't seem to be interested :p

I'm just going to stick with my about two year old pc here. I'll see how it runs BF3 beta :D I have a AMD 5870HD, and I haven't seen a card that's worth the upgrade yet or the ones that are worth it are too expensive :p

I'm not that good at shooters (I play mmo's now mostly), my k/d ratio is usually below 1, but I'm having fun anyway. I like the teamplay aspect of the battlefield games. I bought Call of Duty MW2, but that just wasn't a game for me.

Anyone else playing the Beta yet? I'm playing it now, and on my specs I'm thankfully able to run it on high and get great fps.

I have to wait for Thursday. Maybe later. I heard it was kind of a mess today how EA handled the distribution of keys and lack of servers.

How is it though?
