I've seen people in the video game industry saying that video exaggerates a bit.

Ya the video probably not 100% true. But its massage is mainly, you don't walk into a game company with an idea and no experiance and come out with a $200,000 salary, and that is certainly true.

maybe it exaggerates a bit if you have the luck in working in a nice company but it doesnt mention one thing: you have to get into the industry first. i think thats the hardest part.

Of course the video exaggerates a bit. The video game industry is absolutely not an unpleasant place to work in the right places. It simply wants to get the point across that the industry is a tough place to get a foot in the door, and you have to have tons of prior experience before trying to get a job. You can't just expect to be spoon fed on how to program and model and all that jazz. You have to work at it.
One of my best buds who I went to school with my whole life FINALLY got an internship at Bethesda after 3 years of schooling (which he only did to get the diploma; he didn't need the schooling, mind you) and ~2 years of talking to a couple employees he knew and showing them his work. So you need to know the right people, and you have to be skillful and aggressive. That video gives the obvious worst-case scenario, to simply shoot down the hopes of the "want-to-be's." You have to work hard to make it in the industry, but it isn't impossible.

Okay well. Everybody is saying it's pointless to try making a game with out a team . And it sucks to make games. And it is impossible. All of the above is kind of true but if you are determined and have experiences making mods you can do it with a lot of work. Just look at 0.A.D. they started there engine and everything 100% from scratch and now look at their game's graphics, engine and everything, simply amazing. http://wildfiregames.com/0ad/ Ok so It took them 10 years to get to where they are but if you really do want to make a game give it ago you may end up with a great game.
