Lowering Object Polys
Well, I have a large very detailed object. What I wanted to do is to shrink the object and at the same time lower the poly-count. I'm not exactly sure how I would do that. Would I be able to merge the polys without ruining the shape too much? I'm also wondering if it should be done all at once.
Any help on this would be appreciated

Best way to do this is by manually deleting edges.
There's a polygon reduction tool, but most of the time it makes your model look weird.

First of all; great model! Second.. Shrinking is simple.. Merge all objects, and make the new merged model individual by Model>Create>Polymesh>Merge. Then press U. Press CTRL+A, and right mouse click. Select Extract Polygons (delete). Now you've got 1 mesh, which is individual. Problem might be, that you want to apply a tex to the different parts.. Then you don't need to merge it, but when not merged, you can't scale them correct, UNLESS you make a null, make it parrent of all parts and scale that null. That helps as well
Reduce polys by manually deleting edges, or Model>Modify>Polygon>Clean Polygons (i'm not sure about this line.. There's also one with edges, and point. Don't use these; then it will crash when exporting)
Good luck and let us know when you've encountered more problems!

FILTER polygons, but it works only till all polys are filtered
you can use reduce polygons
you dont have to merge all objects, you can select all, click freeze transforms ( in the menu, that appears when clicking on transform button on top of the scale, rotate... panel)
if you want to "refreeze" the transforms, select one object and click on "center to verticles" (also in the menu above)

Re: Lowering Object Polys
Well I didnt actually need to know how to shrink objects. I just wanted to know if there was a way to get the polys to merge or something as they got closer together. But nevermind.
Yeah, there's no such thing as clean polygons. Polygon reduction majorly screwed up the model, but filter polygons was pretty decent. I'll try deleting edges for some of the smaller things. I'll tell you all how it goes.
