I don't know if you are planning to keep the planet there or not, but if you want, I can cook up a real nice planet for you. I can't stand the stock planets. Just name the type and I can do it.

I offered too, but he is fine with the stock planet. For now at least.

assajj ventress arrived to the battle:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
AQT made the new skin that resembles her appearance in the original concept art
she has xbox-like lightsabers, her starblades and will getnew VOs form the clone wars.
(and yeah, a few polys on her eyes are still invisible)

most models and UVs are finished now and the ggameplayrelated things are done so there will be an alphatest in about two weeks with a few selected people.

offtopic: Yay, 5000st post!

Those crates look fantastic! Look at the self shadowing, and the specularity!

....................

Oh yeah, so does Ventress. I'm assuming the folds in the clothes/cape aren't normal maps? That would have been a cool addition.

This is by far my most anticipated map in a long time!

How do you get nice lighting built into the texture like you have on those crates?

I have registered right now to answer this topic.

(I' m reading this forum from much more time, but THIS absolutely needs reply)

Your work is awesome!!!

I've loved RC:E and always hope for a sequel.

That' s the answer to my pray, and more!

I think it is all too wonderful, the models of the commandos, the new bacta + ammo packs, the ships out in space...

I can't wait until the day it would be released.

Can I make a suggestion? Is it possible to add a nebula/planet/asteroid field in space?

It could increase the feeling I think.

Anyway, great work, they have already said this is better quality than stock game, I simply agree.

May the force be with you!

I loved RC:E, it was really fun!
(although I didn't have anyone to help me beat it on "Hard", it still was fun beating "Hard" by myself)
I can't wait for this to come out!
(BTW, love the models that you make, DarthD.U.C.K.)

Good for you! :D (Although I find that "Hard" to believe. I'm sure the majority of people who have played the map would agree with me...)

@Alpha347: Welcome to Gametoast, and I'm glad this map and its "prequel" interests you.

There are already nebula clouds and a planet, and they're each in two seperate skydomes. The nebula clouds, along with a dense field of stars, are meant to represent the Chaykin Cluster, which was where the derelict Prosecutor was rediscovered. I think it represents the lost and desolate feeling very well. The planet Corellia, along with a few scatter stars, is meant to represent the Prosecutor's heyday under Republic service. With Corellia, a blue and green planet like the Earth, I was hoping it would generate a homey feeling of sorts. Thanks for your suggestion, though. :)

Thanks to you for the kindness.

Can you make the CIS playable?

It would be funny to play the map also again the commandos, it would grant more longevity to the map itself.

If you mean for Extraction mode, then I don't think I will make the CIS side playable. I don't think "it would grant more longevity to the map" if it takes a matter of seconds to win (tested). This is why there are modes like Team Deathmatch and Capture-the-Flag to choose from.

Hmm, great idea! I think I will definitely do that. And while I'm at it, I'll make the Obiwan unit the only unit that can destroy her lightsaber for authenticity's sake! How does that sound? :D

That's the best portrayal of Ventress that I've seen in BF2. :)
