Its not ARMA2 but the first ARMA, ARMA2 hasnt got many custom addons yet.
But anyway if you got ARMA1 you should download it, its really cool (especially with some mods like Shadow of Namalsk), its called Crappy Zombie Mod and can be found at armaholic.com

Re: Pics - Other Games [56K Warning]
That is some crazy style aoe gaming if not for achievements
But it looks pretty funny
Anyway here are more ArmA shots (speaking of tastes, it seems that ArmA is mostly unknown, and about half of those who know it are really hating it)
This time I was fooling around with some Vietnam war mods, therefore the bad graphics, since most of the models are converted from the old VTE mod for OFP (yet another not well known game)

Well, at least the graphics are better than that of BF2. Looks like a really interesting game... is it online or singleplayer?

Re: Pics - Other Games [56K Warning]
It has got singleplayer campaign, a couple of singleplayer missions, multiplayer and the (most important) mission editor.
And it has got a very dedicated community, which has made the game much better (Like adding more vehicles, islands and weapons, armies from other countries, adding submarines, even large ships like frigates and carriers)
Of course there are full mods like that VTE mod you see in screenshots above, Nightstalkers, which is a homage to STALKER games, Project85 or CWR (CWR is a remake of the 2001 released game Operation Flashpoint, while P85 has got no campaigns but more features, both mods are set in the 80s in the 'Cold War gone Hot' scenario)
there are also some realism mods (since the game is pretty realistic and hardcore as it is, such mods concentrate on sounds, visual effects, bleeding, blackouts and so on)
As already mentioned the mission editor is my most favorite feature of ArmA (as well as OFP and ArmA2), you can make simple missions and more complex pretty fast without any scripting knowledge (for more advanced missions there are PDF guides), in fact this is how I make those pics.

Re: Pics - Other Games [56K Warning]
I have only played ARMA2, and for only about an hour. Me and a friend were just using map editor to spawn vehicles (mainly planes) and then mucking around.
ARMA2s greatest features: ability to play as a chicken or a rabbit (or many other animals), and drive tractors into battle.

Re: Pics - Other Games [56K Warning]
For my taste ArmA has got pretty good graphics (as almost every game that came out 2005 or later), and the textures are definately better then those of SWBF2. However speaking of that Vietnam (its now in alpha stage btw) mod... although many things were improved (like island textures and some models) many other things (some vehicle textures and models) were just converted from the old VTE mod for OFP. So in some place its better than SWBF2 while in others its worse.
Still the most important part of the game is the gameplay, and ArmA (as well as OFP and ArmA2
) has got a very good gameplay, its not like many arcade shooters, playing it Rambo-style will end deadly for you pretty fast (Imagine Battlefield2 but far more realistic).
Bugs are the other side of the game, which made the game rather unplayable when it came out, but now they are all fixed.
BTW Ive read some reviews for Wolfenstein, most of them were saying that while it has got rather old graphics (DOOM3 engine) its got a very good gameplay. For me the graphics look very good so as you see Im not a reliable source if you ask about graphics.
Anyway I hope more game developers will concetrate themselves on gameplay first and then on graphics.

The Gameplay in Wolfenstein is pretty good.Sort of CoD Gameplay with some Elements out of Farcry2 like the Black-Market to buy Weapon or Medallion Upgrades.negah wrote: Ive read some reviews for Wolfenstein, most of them were saying that while it has got rather old graphics (DOOM3 engine) its got a very good gameplay. The Engine is a old but they did a good Job in enhance it to get the best Quality out of it.
It looks very good for me also Bloom and Lighting.
I didnt have any Problems with this Game nor did i liked it that much. Its allright but nothing special. The GFX,that you can see in the Pics looks much space-y and surreal in some Places reminds me much to Quake 4.
btw.
Thanks for clearing my Question about ARMA.

I honestly have no idea why #11 had that much bloom. It didn't when I flew to it, then it showed up when the picture was taken, then disappeared once it sent itself to bungie.net

Ahhh, the minigun glitch. They patched it on the 360 a while ago. -_-VF501 wrote:Some L4D stuff, getting into spots we're not supposed to.
