its a basic colorlayer,
a noise layer,
a layer with render>clouds>plasma a bit motionblurred,
a dirt layer,
a layer with soft dark brushes,
a layer with the markings
and a layer with plasma from which i took small parts as bumpmap for the basic layer

the final piece... been working on my USMC skin for a week, finally found what i needed
credit goes to taivyx for the M16A2 :bowdown:

Hey, it's okay. All of my accounts for EVERYTHING I've made within the past two years or so are called Fluffy_the_ic except this one... But guess what? Lol, I had one called Fluffy_the_rc, but I used teh wrong e-mail address, so I couldn't validate it, so I thought I had to make a still one.

it looks pretty nice. some of that green that you added though you can tell real easily its one of those "spots" that gets filled in gimp when you click around randomly (used to be the only thing i did, so i know :P) maybe blur the edges of those a little bit and add more color variation to those spots also. :thumbs:
