There are actually two types of Bacta dropables in the stock game.

Bacta 25
Bacta 100

100 of course heals a lot more than 25. In my BF3 mod I went with a bigger bacta container, obviously D.U.C.K. and AQT went with a dual Bacta container instead.

thanks for the comments! :D
THEWULFMAN wrote:There are actually two types of Bacta dropables in the stock game.
exactly  i actually made the one with two canisters first (liek in rc) and the noticed that there was a weaker healthitem so i remove done canister.
Anakin wrote:will there be BFx and/or BF DT available??
yes, dark times 2 is supported, for pretty much every gametype.
Fiodis wrote:the CP seems a little huge in the 3rd pic -
its bigger than the stock cp. it has the size of the ctfdrop only that the feet are rotated down. i made it this size because it looks more "serious" and is not just a thing you can run over.

Whoa. This map is pretty dang cool. I have a feeling it'll be a hit on SWBF files. And I don't just mean like a lot of downloads. It's more like map of the month good. Maybe map of the year. Just ridiculously cool. Once it comes out, someone should totally setup a server playing only this map. It seems to have a lot of potential for multiplayer, as well as everything else. I'll be counting down the days!

Just a quick question; does the map geometry use any stock textures? It doesn't look like it does.

Everything looks fantastic, as I've said before and will keep saying even after you guys release it! Great work guys!

AFAIK only ammo/health droid and vehicles. Side-wise we of course use the stock droids, the hd clone(I believe) and mostly stock weapons.

And thanks for all the comments!

Late October is the current estimated release. I never saw anyone say all that was left was texturing though. :?

i did, in the latest update. the texture is done now and there is some additional stuff being worked on. (like always)
anyway, late october or beginning of november (public release) are estimated, depending on how much has to be fixed/how many new exaggerated ideas are had and built in. im pretty safe and really very safe about the later that there wont be much/many anymore.

well post another update this weekend :D so stay tuned!

Update: Here's the ACP Repeater Gun model:

Here it is in-game being used by a Trandoshan Mercenary, the other Trandoshan unit we decided to include with the map:

Noticed something? That's right! It uses a new, more explosive, and pseudo-slugthrower muzzle flash model/effect. Here's the old stock effect (this will also be changed) being demostrated by the Trandoshan Slaver's, who is now in a yellow jumpsuit, ACP Array Gun:

On an unrelated note: Beta Testing Information: We will now accept applications for the beta. If you would like to beta test, please post in this topic saying so and include reasons as to why you would be a good candidate. These could be past experiences with beta tests, your knowledge of modding the SWBF series, etc. Basically, a resume if you would. If you had tested during the alpha release, then there is no need for you to apply. In addition, some other selected members will have guaranteed testing privileges and will be notified soon. The filing period begins now and will end promptly on Monday, October 17th at TBA. There are currently five available slots, but it can very much be upped at our discretion. Thanks for participating. :D

I's would like to beta test. I have always had a good eye for map flow, gameplay, and balance. I've been playing arena slayer games all of my life which has trained me to hate anything that doesn't play remotely balanced or well (which is a curse as much as a blessing). As you probably know, my first map was centered around interesting multi-leveled gameplay with nice map flow which you don't see much in Battlefront, very reminiscent of arena slayer games of old.

I also have a bit of experience in the 3D graphics department and could point out little bugs and artifacts in the assets. There probably won't be any, because the development team is stacked, but oh well. I'll check anyway if I get the chance, haha.

That's my resume, thanks ahead of time if I'm chosen! I won't be too bitter if I'm not chosen though! :P

EDIT: I would also very much like to know how you made the new muzzle flash work, I've tampered around trying to get custom muzzle flashes to work, but have had no success. The map looks incredible, can't wait to play it!

EDIT 2: If one of the developers of the player models would be kind enough to PM the specs for the models (tri-counts, texture resolutions and the like) It would be greatly appreciated. I'm making a couple of player models right now, and I would like to know how high I can go with the tri-counts. I don't want to destroy Zero-Engine haha.

I would like to beta please. I can play it on almost max settings(borrowing a friend's fantastic computer for a little while), and I have an eye for detail. I look at things not as "I would have done it like this, so I will ask them to change it" but rather as "I will look for errors, and perhaps make a suggestion or two that would be easy to change."

@TNA: Putting a new one ingame is easy, making a new model for it however it not. It can be overwritten in a custom ingame.lvl.

@TNA(again): 5000-6000 is a good number of polies for a high poly unit model, in my humble opinion and experiance. Hero units up to 8000, since there are only a few of them ever in a map.

If there is any room left, I would love to beta test. I played SWRC, I can run BF2 on max settings, and I can include a full, detailed report that includes pictures. :)

the clonecommandos have 6000 trianges and the trando 4000, the textureresolution should be 1024px², the original tetxures are twice the size, AQT scaled them down because the filesize gets big pretty quickly with many highresolution custom textures.
i havent seen any signs of battlefront not being able to handle tdm with only 6k poly units, its far more sensitive with shadows and the environment polycount.
