Gaming performance slowing.
I am currently getting really bad performance on my games! Everytime I play a game such as GTA IV it really lags! I have about 25 games installed? Can having lots a games slow down your performace? I went on youtube and searched 'gta IV gts250' and for the people on youtube they have perfect smooth gaming?

Hard Drive Free Space?
SWBF2 has slowed way down for me when my hard drive had only a couple GB free space. Unless you play all those games, I would remove a few. Then defrag the drive.

Well my performance has improved by uninstalling about 8 games. Will I have even better performance if I defrag, I heard it takes a long time to defrag?

Correction: Vista and 7 need 15gb free. XP only needs a fraction of that.501st_commander wrote:windows needs 15gb free to run properly..

There are a bunch of patches for GTA IV. The unpatched game will lag insanely on any PC.

I've patched to the latest version through steam, still no improvement.Dohnutt wrote:There are a bunch of patches for GTA IV. The unpatched game will lag insanely on any PC.
