Re: Making an Arial Strike?
do you have the assets for any orbital strike droids that have been in packs (eg the convo pack)?
look around in those, and replace some lines in the odf files.

Actually, the shipped assets have an orbital strike asset in them already.

yes, bf2modtools/assets contains all things that came with the game, and a bit more they didn't add.

I'm pretty sure there is not an orbital strike beacon in the BF2 assets, if there was, why would people need to make and release them?JawaTrooper wrote:whats the name of the assets?Master_Ben wrote:yes, bf2modtools/assets contains all things that came with the game, and a bit more they didn't add.
Heres a link to a pre-made one.

Re: Making an Arial Strike?
Having something in the assets does not preclude someone rereleasing it as their own asset. Most of the time it's because there are simple changes made to it and other people don't want to do the changes (a la the R2-D2 assets we have, which multiple people have released "assets" for).Caleb1117 wrote:I'm pretty sure there is not an orbital strike beacon in the BF2 assets, if there was, why would people need to make and release them?JawaTrooper wrote:whats the name of the assets?Master_Ben wrote:yes, bf2modtools/assets contains all things that came with the game, and a bit more they didn't add.

We do have assets for the orbital strike beacon; I know because I've made one from the assets before. However, I don't remember if it's from SWBF1 or SWBF2, and if you don't want the challenge/work of fixing up the beacon yourself there is nothing wrong with using someone else's work and giving them credit.
