WIP: Naboo Episode 1

hey ya'll! Here is a map that I have been working on for about four or five months inconsistantly entitled Naboo Episode 1. As the title suggests this battle takes place on Naboo's city theed between the trade federation and the naboo guards and gungans. It has all you would expect from a standard Naboo map plus some twists that I threw in from the BF1 assets. It has the naboo speeders and the N1s for the naboo soldiers side, and for the CIS it has AATs even MTTs that I thought you would enjoy. there are seven CIS MTTs that you can spawn from . It may seem like an uneven battle, but the gungans have a rapid fire rocket launcher with infinite rockets. lol. :lol: The units for the gar side are mostly default, but there weapons are modified. there are three guard units a pilot a sodier and a vanguard, and then there is the gungan soldier wiht the auto rocket launcher and the gungan warrior with the electric shockfield and gungan staff from BF1. the hero is the naboo queen with a rocket launcher that fires a green laser beam that is huge, trust me it looks so sick!! :sick: lol! THere is also a Captain Pananka unit for the guards which you can see in the screens. He has an imp blaster also.

For the CIS I have a normal plain skinned battle droid with a blaster and grenades. the assualt droid has assasin skin and sniper rifle and assault carbin, again from BF1. there is also a droid commander with binoculars and assault carbine, a default pilot droid and a destroyer droid, droideka, with cool shield effects!!

Okay so maybe its just me, but it does seem kinda empty. Yes I know its a work in progress, and cities are hard to build. The units look pretty good, and one of the units seemed almost cartoonish from the lighting *shrug* :lol: . Overall it seemed alright, but more buildings and stuff could be good for the map. You want open places and some tight allyways to vary up the fighting. Also :amidala: would be good for a hero. Either that or Panaka :| . Good work so far! :thumbs:

thanks for the suggestion. I have already begun adding more buildings as neccesarry. This will make the fight more fun and interresting, however this may cause some of the big vehicles like the mtts to get stuck.

Umm, whats up with the sky and the ground? It looks like something from candyland.

You should also make the city more varied instead of creating open canyons enclosed by buildings. This is a bad scenario for gameplay. It makes for a boring map.

The map looks decent otherwise.

There's something I must know...

Is Darth Vader my father? j/k

but, is the Naboo Palace accessible? and are those MTTs drivable? and why is this map at like the time of say 6-7pm when the sun starts to go down when in Episode 1, it was probably during like the hours of 12-3pm?

yes you can drive the mtts and yes you can walk up the corridors of buildings and down allyways. It is a sunset sky because It looks good I guess.
