ARGH!!!
The LOD parameters in the particle effect dont seem to be doing anything. Iv had the max LOD at 3000 all the way up to 25000 but they still only appear when your a few yards away
This is gonna be a real let down if I cant use particle effects for the beams
EDIT: I think iv sorted it ... i changed a load of parameters as a last attempt type of thing and its worked ...now iv gotta figure out which parameter worked ...cos at the moment it makes it quite laggy.

No turning off and on .
Il leave the optimizing of them and the textures till the last thing . Im gonna now continue modeling the core. Then il probably release an Alpha to a few people who can play online with it. Could any1 with a decentish server setup a server for this when its ready for testing ? please.
I want to test it online with quite a few people on at a time so i will only give out the secret alpha link to those who can play online. Beta will be for every1.

Any1 who will play on the server will get it.
In a way theres no real way of forcing people to get on the server but I really really need to test it online with more human players than bots ...for lag/performance issues. Id appreciate it alot if i could get a server for the alpha for a day .
The thing is im not gonna be messing around doin proper bot pathing and barriers for the alpha so, while the bots will fight you , they jump/fall off the walkways alot (due to no barriers) and they bunch into 3 walkways.
Also playin online should be more fun

Covert , your arrogance blinds you 
Im hopin to get a pre alpha out pretty soon , I just need to :
sort out why some of my black textures are turning up greenish ,
make the main wall texture , figure out how to add specular for the glass tubes ,
make some collisions ,
boost all heroes health and tweak force powers ,
add the sound /music lvls (that vyse is creating for me)
and create a floor /ceiling texture.
