Texture Merge
How would you make sure when merging 2 objects their textures(more specifically UV-maps)would be preserved?

Re: Texture Merge
On the merge box that opens, there will be a button to let you merge UVs.

Re: Texture Merge
Thnx that worked!
But it seems that it is linked to the the specific texture it used before I merged UVs(in other words, I can't change the texture of it now.)
Is there a way to change the texture of a merged-UV model while preserving the UVs?

Re: Texture Merge
You can change the texture or projections of specific polygons anytime. I think that's about your only option. If you want to just replace a while texture and not changing UVs at all, just remember that the only thing tying the texture to the model is the name. Change what the texture looks like and preserve the name and you've changed the texture.

Re: Texture Merge
what if said texture name conflicts with an asset one(say all_weap_inf_sniperrifle?)
And the texture was edited?
And the texture was edited?

Re: Texture Merge
Rename your texture, add a new texture to the whole object, dont make new uv's. Let it use the already existing projection.

Re: Texture Merge
No u don't realize, whenever I do that it stays locked to the last texture before it merged.
In other words, when pressing alt+7 and moving the points around the texture remains frozen on display and doesn't move at all.

Re: Texture Merge
you have to edit the material/texture of the clusters of your polymesh (select the object, click on the clusterbutton and select the cluster. then edit the material as you want) you can also deklete the clusters and apply a new material/texture to the whole polymeshCodaRez wrote:No u don't realize, whenever I do that it stays locked to the last texture before it merged.
i hope this is what you asked for
