Space Endor

Post by Maveritchell »

(Thanks to AlexSecura for the base picture)

WIP Topic: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 29&t=13676

Space Endor - the space battle that everyone loves but never seemed to get finished by anyone. Well, here it is, finished in all it's spacey glory. It's loads of fun for me to play and hopefully you'll all like it too.

Includes:
Tweaked space sides (based off of X-Wing series setup)
B-Wings & TIE Defenders in lieu of shuttles for either side
Slightly expanded (and differentiated) interiors
"Conditional-unlock" Millennium Falcon
Easter Egg miniquest
Expanded space battle (shipcount increased)
Animated frigates
Custom music
1st Person cockpits

I've done my best to get everything everyone wanted in here, but of course I'm never going to get everything 100%. You'll enjoy it anyway, though, I'm sure.

Thanks to all that helped with testing and whatnot - credits are in the readme, please read it. (Edit: Apparently Trainmaster611 was left out of the credits - please recognize that he was also one of my beta testers and should be on that list.)

Notes:
-Please note that this version is NOT the full version. This, while a finished map, only includes assault mode. If you want to play this map with assault mode, 1-flag CTF, and team dogfight, you'll need to wait for the Conversion Pack to come out - those modes will be integrated with this map then. (Era, when you post this at SWBFFiles, please make sure to make a note of this in your review.)

-There's an easter egg in there. I've had lots of fun in the past seeing people try and find easter eggs and I try and include them in everything I do. Go ahead and see if you can find this one.

-Enjoy!

I played through it once, and let me say - wow.
I think I found the secret area, I'll have to catch you on XFire or send you a PM to see if I'm correct. And, can I have that Executor model now? PLEASE?

10/10 Mav. The only thing I was lost on was where to find the falcon. It wasn't in either hangar for me. Nice use of props & astromechs too.

The Falcon isn't always there. When it appears, it'll be in the mostly empty hangar (Hangar 2, with the single X-Wing). It "unlocks," though, sort've like you might get a hero. Basically when you get a random amount of kills (usually around 20-something, could be as high as 30) the Falcon is unlocked and will appear. A lot of the time you won't even see it in a 180-point battle until towards the end (although you can ramp the points up to 300 and get it about halfway). Of course only kills made as a Rebel count towards getting the Falcon.

Also, if anyone wants to try this out online (I would, so that I can make sure the online play works well for the Pack), just PM me or catch me if I'm on Xfire, and we'll get to it.

No, the Falcon's a different thing. The easter egg is just a little area you can unlock by meeting some hidden objectives. (Hint: Search the interior, on foot, of one of the Star Destroyers.)

What are the objectives?

Finally got Millennium Falcon unlocked :cpu: Gotta say the cockpit looks great and I was amazed at how fast the vehicles spawned  The only problems I found in the map was it seemed like every time I went into a hanger with the B Wing I glitched through the ship, I had no problems with any of the other vehicles it was just the B Wing. Some reference pics: http://www.xfire.com/screenshots/delta811/ Second of all I noticed the Millennium Falcon has no sounds, now don't get me wrong it has laser sounds but it does not have vehicle sounds (as when you do boost, etc) not a big deal just some small bugs. Still gotta say one more time great map I give it a 10/10 for space combat
