Sigh.
I am having trouble on the swbfmac forums. Whenever I try to go onto the message boards, a window comes up that says "click to run an activeX control!" Well, every time I click on it, it causes my internet explorer to crash to desktop. I have a topic on there and it is very frustrating to be unable to answer people's questions.
How do I make the activex thing go away? If I cant, how do I at least fix the crashing? Please help!.

Not sure why this is happening exactly, but it is most likely an Internet Explorer glitch. What version of Internet Explorer are you running? 6 or 7?
The easiest fix I can think of is this: Download Firefox.
The reason I say this is because Firefox works a little better with the activeX/Javascript that is embedded in web pages, and it is also more secure.

SERIOUS UNRELATED PROBLEM: I downloaded a security update from java, installed it, and now whenever I log onto adelphia webmail it says
"this application needs javascript to run correctly." It works normally, but
this is a problem on other sites as well. PLEASE HELP! How do I activate/deactivate javascript?
