You know how most movie makers run out of creativity for the sequel? Well this is what happens when you get 10,000 sequels
(ie, EU).
Great job on the models though

I'm actually not going to do that one (or I would have done it already, since they take about 15 minutes total to do). I think it looks kind've ugly (-ier) and I've already got a Y-Wing/TIE hybrid. I dunno if I'm going to do any more starfighters for my starport, since I've already got seven.

Re: Model showcase thread Part II
Gotta agree, it's maybe too ugly...
Anyway, I've always thought this was a cool vehicle:

The F-wing from the From bricks to Bothans Alpha project.
So I decided to make one, with a few artistic license additions.

Looks very Mandalorian to me for some reason, now I just need to texture it, might be my personal air vehicle in DMI.
Wow, ever since the V-wing, I've been using Extrusion along axis, and it is one really awesome tool.

Re: Model showcase thread Part II
DarthD.U.C.K., that is one nice TIE Crawler you've made there. It is very accurate. Good Work!
Maveritchell, those models of yours are quite ugly but yet they are accurate. Except for the TIE Vanguard which wasn't meant to an "ugly." And come on, the picture of the ugly ship posted by Hebes24 has got to be better looking than the TYE-Wing (in the SW universe).
I mean, the TYE-Wing doesn't look like it can even fly, except maybe in circles (on the ground!).
Maybe you could do a variant of the Y-Wing with the wings of a TIE Bomber? Anyway, nice job the models.
Caleb1117, that is a first that I had ever seen done (you based a model off an original Lego model). That F-Wing model of yours is very nice. The shape accurately resembles the Lego version. I remember looking through FBTB Aipha Project a few years ago, do plan on making all of the ships from it.
Keep up the good work and give the model a nice texture!

Re: Model showcase thread Part II
My, 5th model, is it? Anyway, it's not finished, I need to add details (like a diving board
), and sort out some texture issues, but this should (MshEx willing) make it into my lot for the DMI.

EDIT: By the way, that will have a terrain cutter, so none of the sides below the edge will be visible.

Re: Model showcase thread Part II
It will, it'll be great to switch out some of the CIS pistol models for that (specifically with Carth and Calo). And I'll set it up as an offhand too, so that Calo can do dual blasters with that.RepSharpshooter wrote:Kotor Heavy blaster, hope it wanders into the conversion pack kotor sides some day.

Cool, I'm working on a regular blaster model too. I was perhaps going to make a carbine as well. Hardest part is texturing though.
I'll pack it up along with this

Remember, I've got the Arkanian blaster rifle from KotOR already made, if you want I can send you that model (although if you're just not a fan of the texture I've got no problem with you doing your own thing) - if it'll save you some time.RepSharpshooter wrote:Cool, I'm working on a regular blaster model too.
