im hopelessly lost. maybe this is too advance for a new modder like me, but how do i create a custom character? like, lets say i want a clone with a lightsaber or something...can someone give me really clear step-by-step instructions for something like that, or a link to it, if a clone with a lightsaber is even possible...and then if it is possible, how to add it to my sides.

My Advice: Spend some time and put some effort into making a good map without custom sides first.

While I could never hope to live up to the Great BOeing's Advice, I would simply say that editing characters is simpler than making them from scratch.

When I try to make my own it always talks about missing stuff >.<

U can edit the .odf (off topic: my first post!)

Use other characters as templates and add your own touches.

Just play with the odfs a bit, and use the costum jedi creation doc to understand them a bit better.
