Exactly. It would probably be more useful on a map, rather than in space (lol). You could transport troops in it. It would also have a rocket function, driver machine gun, and a turret or 2 on the sides. Sort of like an LAAT.

I have a weapon idea, what if you make a gun that fires an emp lazer (like the one that the la-at side turrets fire) so you walk up with a gun and fire - then tank is disabled.

Can we please keep it narrowed down to straightforward weaponry? I don't want admins deciding that this is just a cloned request thread or whatnot. A laser to force someone out of a vehicle? Not bad; but it'd have to be either really hard to use or on a map full of strange things like that, like a Boeing production or something. You mean like slicing a vehicle? You could take that fusion cutter ability and put it on a long-range weapon instead. Well I'm saying, when you slice a vehicle all the way, sparks fly out of it for 3 seconds, the players are forced out, and they can't get back in for a while.
Here's what I'm seeing:
Put this ability on a gun with, oh I don't know, a rifle that shoots the IFT-X beam effect. Or the default Beam rifle effect. When you hold the mouse button, a very transparent version comes out of the rifle and if you keep the vehicle in your line of fire, the beam constatly gets moer opaque. When the "slice" reaches 100%, the beam is fully charged. Then, the beam stops and the vehicle is sliced, sparking, and the units are forced out for a short time.
That's just what I had in mind when I read your post. It might not be as visually appealing if someone actually makes it, but hey, my imagination is on the fritz.

Hmmmm...that IS a problem...
Well, you could change the fusion cutter to make it look like a gun, then extend the range of the weapon via LUA, but then you still have the heal-vehicle effect...hmmmmm...

Yes, or could you make it like the bothan with a glass like effect. the only time you would see the grenade would be when it explodes. The AI would still run away I think even if the mesh is invisible.

Give a grenade a stealth field? The Bothan's stealth field? Utterly impossible. That is a weapon. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way around the AI-dodge reflex.
