Anyone know of an install creater using rar compression?

Same as topic, looking for a program that creates installation exe's with rar or similar levels of compression. Note I say installation exes not simple self extractors.

do u mean SELF EXTRACTING MAPS? a program that convers folder maps to self exe maps?
if so WIN-RAR i use it for every thing.

Yeah, there are tons of those out there. All basically based on user preference which is better.

For those who must make self-installing maps fastly, they should try PatchWise : It does not need programming from the user, but just some basic informations... (Installing directory, icon of the installer, etc...)

I'll try all of these. Ive used Install Creator before, but It had lousy compression ratios. I want something rar-like. But thx, I'll try all of these, and see if I can make sense out of NSIS again, because its add-free and free. Just complicated.

the one from jrsoft uses 7-zip compression and from what I hear is better than RAR or ZIP. It also has plugins that makes things easier. Haven't tried it though, just going on advertisment,

Inno Setup Project Builder is (almost) out-dated, now... Nullsoft and its Script Installer System (NSIS) makes a better work than Jordan Russell's software...

I downloaded Inno Setup builder, and it worked for me, has no adds, and compresses better than rar, so for now i'll stick with that, might try nsis.

I don't know what you mean about outdated, my version was uploaded in august.

I meant NSIS has become more used that Inno Setup Project Builder for creating installers and other self-extracting files...

Inno Setup with ISS tool is very easy to use too, so I'm sticking with it for now.

Not that Im promoting it over NSIS, I haven't tried the latest version.

Let's go back for promoting more NSIS : It is open-source (All *.CPP, *.H and others are included with this software), it owns many samples (Which can be easily compiled) and it has a (very) useful documentation...
