Actually, if nobody answers, a good trick is to paint a bunch of different, bright colors on the model. Then when you see it game you can be like "Oh, okay, Bright Orange" is his chest. Learned that trick from a crazy-good skinner who did Anakin (Ep II) for the Convo Pack.
