The inspiration for it came from [raptor]kashyyyk and some ideas that I had floating around in my head.

This is only my second map and it contains some of the first models I have created (the bridges and docks) So I hope you like it.

Story:
*****Location:Kashyyyk*****
*****Time period: Clone Wars, before Order 66*****
A battered looking commando rushed into the camp of Senior General Luminara Unduli. He had been sent out with two other commandos to train volunteer fighters in case of attack on their local area. They were instructed to go to a small Wookiee village on an island in the middle of a river known as 'The Rihaken'.
The commando brought news. The island is under attack!
When the commandos had arrived at the village they had started instructing the locals on the best way to defend the village in case of attack. But while they were there the CIS made a surprising decision, they were going to take the Rihaken sector. The commandos suddenly had their hands full just trying to stay alive. But despite this, while helping defend the island from small attacks, two commandos perished. The third, when he had deemed the Wookiees fit to defend themselves from small attacks for a while, stealthfuly made his way thru the blockade back to the high command, to get an attack force to relieve the Wookiees.
Luminara Unduli has decided to go with the attack force and lead the attack. The attack force will rely on speed, thus only IFT-X, BARC Speederbike and Swampspeeder class vehicles will be taken along. The CIS will already have AAT's and STAP's aligned for the attack. The Wookiees will have their native Catamarans to aid in the defense. When they arrive at the village they will discover that they have underestimated the CIS. The Republic's only hope rests on the shoulders of the Wookiees and those Jedi Master Luminara Unduli.

Once again the small island in The Rihaken is under attack, not this time by the CIS for the sake of exterminating the native Wookiees, but by the Empire for the sake of free labor for all of their evil projects. But the Wookiees have other ideas, before all their transmissions are jammed they manage to get out a short message to the New Republic. A plea for help. A plea that will not go unanswered. The New Republic received the message and have ammased an attack force lead by the Jedi Knight Lowbacca.

-----Conquest---Standard

-----Hunt----The Wookiees have 150 reinforcements and CIS/Empire have unlimited. The Wookiees must try to survive for 5 minutes and the CIS/Empire must try to eliminate all Wookiee reinforcements. Inspiration from +123 mod. Thanks, ]v[ !

-----Hero Assault CW: New Hero Assault

-----Hero Assault GCW: Standard heroes

-----XL CW: Cross Era battling between the Republic and the Empire

-----XL GCW: Cross Era Battling between the Empire and the CIS

-----CTF CW: Cross Era Battling between the Republic and the New Republic

-----CTF GCW: Cross Era Battling between the New Republic and the CIS

*ERA NOTE* The Wookiees are always allied with the defending team. (The defending team is the team that starts out with 150 reinforcements)

Notes:

-- There aren't any command flyers in the cross era battling

Known Bugs:

-- A lot of the sounds in Cross Era battling are missing. This will be fixed in a later version
-- Sometimes the Wookiee Skiffs start heaving up and down. This only happens on water. If you have any fixes let me know

wow i tryed it only on CW conquest so far but what i noticed was the bots can use heros i was like WOW this is one of the best maps i have played in a while

I think it will work for these versions without changes to the mod map itself, for it only loads the provided sides. And I doubt that Teancum will decide to take'em out in the next release.

Anyway, great to have this map available now. Just in time for my holidays. But filefront currently hates me, and won't let me download. Maybe I'll take off that Santa Costume so Filefront can recognize me and allow me to access the file.

PS: For those who didn't know: The true reason for christmas is "Solstice", an important astronomic date. From this day (which is usually on Dec 21) on, days become longer and nights shorter till summer solstice ( june 21 - days become shorter). So the church said: Ok, Jesus is the light of the world, winter solstice could be a nice day to celebrate this (for there's more light from this day on). other religions celebrated this date as well (Iranian Yalda, jewish hanukkah, roman saturnalia, pagan yule, etc.)

So Christmas isn't exclusively christian, although it's still a nice celebration with a tremendous message. (and an incredible cultural impact)

Units:9.3 Map:9.7 Hero:9.99 Gameplay:9.6 Overall:9.6(with my new DarthMan rating system nothing can get a 10 unless its truely a supreme map and/or mod)

Oh yes I remember now. OK cool.

It was amazing. The only problem was when you play as the Republic against the Empire they don't stand a chance. I won with a few minutes. Great fun!

twas an excellent map!!! New units, small yet ferocious battleground, and orbital strike was nice :twisted:

The only thing i feel should be addressed it suicidal AI. About half the units run into the water (maybe running after the tanks), try to shoot at each other, and just die, spawn, and run into the water again. Overall, an awesome map, can't wait for 1.0!!! :P
