this should be simple but how do i remove the basic 4 cp's that you would normally start with

Why would you remove them?
You could just move them around, and add CP's where you want them.

Anyway, CP's and their region's, and path's are in specific mode layers.So the conquest CP's are in the Conquest layer.

Just look for the "Active Layer:" box, and below it is a large "Change:" button, just click conquest in the pop-up, and your in the conquest layer.

Then you delete them just like any other object, select, and hit the delete button.
Don't forget to delete the capture regions and spawn paths as well.
