Urban map series (released)

Post by TK432 »

I'd like to present you some maps I'm working on, based on the urban theme.
Please note that they are my first maps :D
Since I'm not yet into making own sides and skins I'm using the BFX sides

First map is a Bespin map. Here some screens:

I put in a house with jabbas palace interior and a local side with some citizens and all bounty hunters (cw has cw ones and gcw gcw ones). It's really fun.

(Please tell me if you want to beta this map)

And the next one is a Rhen Var based map:

It has 2 main paths and some small ones. The rep may be underpowered a bit when you react to slow or just play cis, but it's not that hard.

I uploaded this map in a early version to filefront as i didnt even plan to make a map pack

You decide it if i should add this to map pack, because its really...well...unplanned yet
What do you think?

Please give some comments and ideas :D

I like the atmosphere of the Bespin map. The color similarity between the sky and the objects create a nice bespin-y atmosphere.

Those are really good, especially for first time maps. What are the other two maps of?

I'm working on a city on plattforms and a nabooish style one.

I'm also thinking about a ruin village (somehow)

quick question, how do i make the lower part of a skydome also textured?
for example here the red part also bespin cloudy:

ZeroEditor doesn't load the sky the same way as the game loads it. It should be fine ingame.

They will be only conquest. I haven't worked a lot with campaign stuff yet. I might add a small one in a later version

Ok thanks. Couldn't see it yet since i wasn't able (don't hurt me) to fix the sky yet.

I'm still having some trubble with the sky since it's showing in editor and not in-game (note: i used exactly the same files for the bespin map and that one is working). I'll try to fix that somehow.

How did you add the sky? Did you copy an existing sky file over and just rename it? If so, you'll need to clean and munge or open and resave the sky file.

Looks good and more creative than the others "Bespin Platforms-like" maps.

Anyway the sky must be fixed. :P

Ah, looks soo much better.

And I think the shock troopers are just fine for that map.

EDIT:
I think you should release the maps as a whole, and not as singles but hey, they're your maps, you decide.
