So, do you mean you can't enter the ship until the shields are destroyed ?(don't know how you could do that) but that would make things interesting...Shizo wrote:Syth wrote:
hey x-wingguy, are the Bridge sheilds seperate from the 'body' sheilds? (they were in the movie) Maybe the destroying the bridge could knock the whole ship out. (keeping in mind that each bridge would have its own shields)
It would be cool to have it so that if the shield generators on top of the bridge were destroyed, the shields would automatically go down.

I think xwing has that already in the map
. Some were the endless madness of pages he said he got the 'globe' things on the bridge so if you destroyed one, the sheilds would go down. Then a couple seconds later, the other 'globe' thing would get the sheilds back up and running so youd have to destroy the second one too.
I still think giving the bridge its own sheilds is a good idea.
This is how the rebels brought down the SSD Exicuter.
1. Two A-wings unleashed their concusive missile at the bridge.
2. The voley missiles hit one of the 'globe' things and destroyed it.
3.That disabled the bridge sheilds
3. Some crazy pilot lost control of his A-wing and crashed into the sheildless SSD's bridge blowing i causing it tumble straight into the DSII.
That was straight from ROTJ. So, should be incorperated into BOE some how. (well, at least in my opinion)

Probe droids, darth. And by the way, xwing, it's entirely up to you, but I think it should be difficult to bring a Star Destroyer or a Mon Cal Cruiser down - that way it feels like you've accomplished something. Unlike the standard space maps, in which destroying all of the systems is easy, repetative, and unsatisfying.

Yeah it would be cool to have those capital ships be destroyed.
btw, another idea
. To destory a capital ship, you would have to take down the shields, then destory the critical systems, then you could constantly shoot the ship from the outside to destroy it or you could go inside and destory the core reactor. It basically happens in stages.
btw, another idea
