XSI 6.01 problem [Solved]

Post by naru1305 »

hi everyone!
Since this morning I had problems with xsi. when I try to press the undo key combination, nothing happens and in the edit menu are undo and redo not usable. I had it before and I reinstalled xsi. then it worked until today. Naturally I have done the same thing as last time (reinstall ), but unfortunately it still does not work.
does anyone know advice?

Go into preferences under the File tab.
Select General I believe it is and look for the Undo tab, you should be able to set how many Undo you want to be able to Undo. I normally have mine at 250 (I like changing my mind)

If it is not under general the try interaction or something like that.

a small additional note in case you got a not-high-end-computer: if you undo things many like merging etc. and press undo often and quickly, xsi can crash and will take all changes you made in this session with it. of course that only happens when the pc is already on high capacity, but if it happens, it really sucks....

Save early save often.

With this, and I am not sure how you are doing this, you actually have to open the scene again as opposed to open recent or that is what I have found.
This actually happened to me yesterday as a matter of fact. I lost the changes I had just made but when I reopened it had all the changes I had made in the incremental saves prior to the lockup.
