Spawn Cost/Point Multipliers (Unimplented Idea)

Post by Ace_Azzameen_5 »

I just came up with an alternative to the Unlockable units system.

Instead of needing to earn a certain amount of points to unlock a unit, he system I came up with would use multipliers to make kills and other points worth more when collected with a weaker unit. Also, vehicle kills would be worth more, while kills in a vehicle would be worth less.
I thought of this while RotE #1 as there is a greater differenece in unit strenght for that map. . .

Another Idea, one that I think is more realistically implentable with SWBF2 lua:

Make it cost points to respawn, with more powerfull units costing more. Could work independent of or with unlockables.

I'm posting this just in case the people with reasons or the ability to implement this in their mods haven't thought of it, and so it won't just wither and die in my mind. . .

You already get more/less points for killing stronger units with weaker units. Checkout points.lua.

As for the respawn part, I don't know of any way to get a player's points from the Lua. Though, find one would be great. Anyone?

Hm.. I cant seem to find one in points.lua that's associated with dying.. or anything close to it. But as a side note, we need to increase the TK point deduction.
