Just a matter of curiosity -- where are you getting all of these maps from?

yea where did you get the props because they are very high quality I believe crysis objects are in .obj form so did you just convert them to .msh?

First: Thank you all for your comments!
To make it clear to all of you^^: all objects are made by myself.
I won't use another unit ... I think it looks quite good how it is but you gave me an idea... Psycho as hero propably?^^Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Also, I think that it might be a good idea to use a different model for the nanosuit, such as Han Solo or Luke. That way, you don't have a malformed head* or the Jedi robe skirt thing.
*A malformed head just might work if you're making Psycho, though.![]()

What do you want to say? If you ask where i got this map ...I would say "I made it myself" .. or do you want to know where i get my textures(I think some of you will ask this anyway in future so here's the answer) I open Sandbox 2 and I load the original objects of crysis .. then I take screenshots of them wich I edit with Photoshop to get what I want.trainmaster611 wrote:Just a matter of curiosity -- where are you getting all of these maps from?

I think maybe he's asking where the map "Treehouse" came from. Perhaps he is not familiar with the Crysis Wars expansion?_BR3AK3R_ wrote:What do you want to say? Re: Treehouse - Remake of the Crysis Wars map
Because many of you are requesting exploding barrels and i also think that some exploding things would improve the gameplay I'll definitly use some of them .. could someone give the link to the barrels?

Ah, my bad, I was just making sure, as it had happened before and we don't want to see any more perma-bans here.
I suppose it was silly of me to assume that you had ported Crysis models, I just thought that they looked suspiciously like the original game's models.

If you do use the random setting thing for day and night, you might want to throw in a rainy setting.

You'd be better off asking that in the modding forum (or better yet, searching).Leo the Larg wrote:Lol, well I'm pretty new so, how do you make objects?
Can you use google sketchup, then retexture? And save as .odfs and .mshs?
I've never played Crysis, and probably never will given the specs of my PC, but this looks like a great idea, with much different gameplay from most BF2 maps.

Re: Treehouse - Remake of the Crysis Wars map
Before you start adding trees, etc, why not texture in some vines and such on the wood platforms? I don't know, I have this feeling that the whole thing will look kind of detached from the scenery, it would look better if you combined elements of the scenery and the playable area, to create a interaction between nature and the human construction, try to give the walkways a somewhat wild look.
Perhaps this is something to be discussed later, when you are working on the aforementioned trees and such.

Wow, really gives the sorta "tree house" feeling.
