@Obi: I'll be gone this weekend, but you can still send me the beta and I can test it on Monday. Btw, since you have so many beta spots, wouldn't it be better to do a public beta rather than sending out betas to a lot of people? I would think it would be easier and faster.obiboba3po wrote:sure you can beta! i kinda stopped counting i guess everyone can have a spot
and as for the water, ill change that aswell. Look for updates tomorrow or friday.

it any good? feedback please!
and here's a greenhouse made by fluffy, accessible in the underground base. i guess it's used as a form of life support

Remember to fix the msh.option so that glow works. And your trees look awesome in there.

Re: Selva Prime
I have a suggestion: color some of the droid's parts black while other parts have the camoflauge painting. Like a Trade Federation OOM Security droid but with green-camo instead of the usual beige and black instead of red.
Anyway, the camo is good, nice job.

Re: Selva Prime
UPDATE
b1 skins improved for each unit class

notice how each is slightly different
also, i really need some advice here. this is a rather big map with quite a bit of water, on my laptop it's laggy under medium quality and uber laggy under high. (could just be this computer) this is what the water looks like under medium, personally i think it looks much better

now's where i need everyone's advice. should i retexture the water to look like that under low quality? Take note that under low quality the map runs as smoothly as possible as opposed to the other settings. please leave feedback

Looks like you liked my idea.
Nice skins.
If it is not an inconvenience, sure! Retexture the water.obiboba3po wrote:now's where i need everyone's advice. should i retexture the water to look like that under low quality? Take note that under low quality the map runs as smoothly as possible as opposed to the other settings

Re: Selva Prime
i really thing there is a stark contrast between everything just from looking at the pics the foliage is dark but the terrain is bright the skins are dark and the water is bright personally I would try to cut down on this by either making everything darker or everything light for this map i'd go with the dark not black but maybe add a shade of gray 180,180,180 (with the color tool) to the entire map and maybe edit the .fx of the water so it's not as bright blue maybe a murky blue /brown would be nice

Re: Selva Prime
alright here's an improved water texture on low quality.

-ignore the yellowish stuff in the back that's a wip-
(it's actually a completley different texture, its just not that noticeable. in comparison to the other water texture on low i suppose it is though)
see a difference?
edit: i changed around the sand a little bit , added some palm trees as a background and added a sunflare (finally) im not really sure how i like all of this combination, suggestions?

just for comparison, here is an earlier darker/yellowish sand texture (palm texture was incomplete as well..)

(is one better than the other?)
Please leave feedback!

Grass looks VERY 2D. I suggest finding a different type of foliage.

Re: Selva Prime
thats because ther is a "grid" off grass (the halmes are too close to eachother) and you cant look through it
you should either use a different texture or make the halms less close (and add more grass of course)
