I believe that is generally what is going to happen.theoretically you can use it ingame but currently it has so many polys that half of them will be invisible and most of them will hardly be noticed ingame

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
You guys are in for a treat today. Over the past month, I made seven other lightsabers in Inventor. I put off revealing them until I got an entire collection. In order of completion:
Aperion:
Ducatus:
Ephimeron:
Igneous:
Leni:
Primus:
Trinity:
And all together (be warned, large image):
Aperion:

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
Well, i wanted to make a model with many polys, i know it has too many, an i will surely reduce the number IF i want to play with it.Wonderboy wrote:I have only a basic understanding of this, but are you going to use that model as is in game? Or will you make a low poly version of it and bake the normal map of the hi-poly onto it?
And very good lightsabers @Null

Nice work Null! My favourites are the Aperion, Leni and Trinity, although they're all good. Its a pity that BF2 can't do them justice......you'll barely even notice all the details ingame.

Those lightsaber handles are just beautiful! It is too bad you won't see most of the details on BF2...

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
I didn't have much I had to do tonight so I decided to make a Bespin Cloud City exterior model (minus the buildings)
I'm pretty new to modeling, and I don't know how to texture very well, and I didn't spend much time finding one that would fit (If I actually use it I'll fix it up)
Not my best model but I think it's decent anyway.
