Duke Nukem Forever
For those of you are old enough to remember Duke Nukem well they are finally releasing Duke Nukem Forever (which has taken forever) on May 3rd. For those of you who are not old enough to remember well you are probably too young to play it anyway. It has a Mature 17+ rating.
Here is a link to the site, only go there if you are old enough.
The trailer also has a mature rating and does have some written bad words a lot of inuendo and also has a lot of Duke humor.
It has a multiplayer mode which is suppose to be similar to Meltdown where you can go person against person(s) and as they say "Shrink your opponent and squash him with your foot"
Link to site, only go there if you are of age*

I'm quite excited for Duke. Dunno if I"m going to get the Balls of Steel edition. I want to, mainly for the bust.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Personally, I think Duke is a bit dated nowadays, but I intend to play DNF anyway.

Heh, I played that as a three year old. Yes, you are reading that correctly. Thinking that blood is juice as a toddler certainly helps, along with parental supervision.

On one hand, some gamers like to view video games as high art. Then we have releases like Duke Nukem and Bulletstorm.
I kid, I'm all for Duke Nukem. This game will break your next and [exist] down your throat.

Although I'm gonna be old enough to get it, after seeing what it's rated for, I doubt my parents would let me have the game in the house.

I've only played about 5 minutes of Duke Nukem 3D, but I still fully intend to get DNF. It looks really fun, it's made by Gearbox, and it's probably the most manly game ever made.

Shrink ray is fun, experience from original, it is good to shink enemies but it is also good to do a bounce shot and shrink yourself so you can run away though a hole in the wall.

I find it funny how people are making fun of duke, thinking he's a meat head super soldier then they'll go play CoD. Atleast Duke has personality.

What? Really? A super soldier?Moving_Target wrote:I find it funny how people are making fun of duke, thinking he's a meat head super soldier then they'll go play CoD. Atleast Duke has personality.
I wish people would do their homework and learn more about the history of First Person Shooters (and games in general) instead of just attaching themselves to a current game and saying that everything else sucks.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Haha. Agreed. Young gamers are starting to annoy me with that thought process.
Anyways back to Duke,
Looks like fun, it's sounding hilarious, it's polished by Gearbox, so hopefully a Borderlands 2 easter egg somewhere, and it's Duke. Balls of steal edition anyone?

Are you calling Duke Nukem stupid and primitive? You wanna start something? WANNA FIGHT? I'll punch you out while talking about how I've courted more women than you!DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:manly = extremely stupid and primitive ?Fingerfood wrote:and it's probably the most manly game ever made.![]()

I'm assuming the bust is about the size of the disk box.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Sorry for necroposting, but I have an important warning to issue: don't get too hyped up.
I've had some hands-on experience with Duke Nukem Forever today, and I can safely say it's an entertaining game, you have a good variety of gameplay, the humor is good, and it keeps you interested in continuing playing.
Now, I've seen a lot of reviewers on the internet praising the game before it's even out, some have already realised their mistake and are thrashing it with unjust reviews, saying it's a failure and a disappointment, and here's the thing: this game is not excellent, it's something that was supposed to be stuck in development hell forever, it has issues, it doesn't have the best graphics in the world, and it doesn't necessarily stand up to modern FPS gaming. But it is a game, it is alive, and you can enjoy it, but only if you are capable of letting go of all of your expectations, if you hope for nothing and let the game surprise you.
Tl;dr: it's a good game, but it is NOT the most innovative and revolutionary experience in the history of gaming, as some are making it out to be, you should play this with a clear mind. You've been warned.
