So, do you have any plans for modeling any no fighters or transpots? If so, which ships to you plan to incorporate? And the whole Star Wars VS Star Trek makes it all the better! Keep up the good work, Like how the enterprise is coming along.

Srry, GCU, I had missed that post. maybe you could just get rid of the two engines and just make one engine that's like a handle! And then there would be egg-shaped fighters on top of it for the hangar and they would shoot strips of bacon or something.

I am in favor of star wars, myself. Only thing I realy like about Star Trek is the borg, but Diet Dr. Pepper do I ever love the Borg. Especially One. He rawkedeth.

I was actually going to do this map ages ago for swbf1 as a ground map, but the best I could do for federation was new skins at the time(limited resources).

3.) Star Wars had a better storyline and plot developement however Star Trek went further into technology tree's and depth for their subsystems.
Technobabble aside (which is why one can't determine who would win in a conflict - Star Trek or Star Wars), Star Trek had better stroylines by far. They were all about real - life issues and a dream that one day, humanity would evolve to accept all life and become a peaceful and intelligent people. Several of the episodes had lots of historical value and moral conflicts, as well as great acting, special effects, etc. Star Wars, while fun, is nowhere near as thought - provoking - and let's face it, the prequils (whith the exception of ep. III) sucked.
~GCU~Gogie wrote:4.) assuming a hyperdrive could have an inf interval of speed and wapr 10 on a starship condiut system BOTH ships would travel at the same speed at max assumin that you are everywhere in the universe at once.
Remember that transwarp is not the same thing as Warp 10, which has only been achieved once (in a really bad but nonetheless existant Voyager episode called "Threshold"), in which one COULD be in all places at once and therefore coujld travel anywhere instantaniously. Unfortunately it had a side effect on the pilot that was really stupid, so they couldn't use it to get home :) And Xwing, while it's pointless to debate information that is not real and also contradicted almost weekly, I have never seen a Star Wars ship travel to its destination instantly, so it must be the potential for a better hyperdrive itself that is the determining factor as far as speed, which is the same for Warp Drive.
~GCU~Gogie wrote:5.) Some Star Wars ships (SD) may have been bigger than Star Trek ships but some Star Trek ships where bigger than Star Wars. (A borg Tactical Cube is bigger than the 2nd Death Star btw, but the borg are meant to be uberly powerful!)
I don't know where you get your info, but a meere eyeball would tell you that a Borg Tactical Cube (at least the one featured in "Unimatrix Zero") is nowhere near that size. Granted it's huge, but Voyager was actually visible at a distance along with the cube. The size of a moon = not so much.
~GCU~Gogie wrote:6.) This map keeps crashing on me!!!!
That sucks. I know the feeling.
~GCU~Gogie wrote:7.) End of discussion ***BACK TO MODDING*** I dont want anymore posts about Star Trek or Star Wars being better than one another.
Agreed. There's very little info you can take from either franchise that is both a) not contradicted on a regular basis and b) able to be cross - refrenced with the other. I've seen people try and have laughed at them. Oh, and by the way, everyone forgets about the Q ;) Good luck on your map, Gogie! Can't wait to play it!

I think that takes the frying pan thing a bit too far. this is a Star Wars vs. Star Trek map, not a Star Wars vs. Giant Frying Pan map.

Wow and you should have a say in what an arguement on this forum would be... you posted twice, neither of those times could you keep a compelling arguement let alone start one, so far Jangoisbaddest has made the most compelling arguement which was unfortunatly a nuetral arguemnt posted off another one of mine. so if you've seen 5 year olds high on crack that have made better arguements then i'd hate to see what ever graded lifeform could compel an arguement to your level. also notice how you are one of the only people on GT who are completely rude.

ANOTHER FACTOR WE FORGOT!!! Species 8472 (Star Trek: Voyager episode Scorpion P1, P2.) It would instantly take out an imperial fleet!

big cruisers are nothing more than giant targets of death, the executor proved it. the main thing that makes SW better in space fights are thier starfighters, an x-wing is faster and more agile than any ST ship hands-down. rogue squadron could mop up the entire federation fleet on thier own and a single jedi could take on tons of borg, theyre slow and stupid.
