Is it possible to setup an animation for a gun?

How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

Couldn't you do it by making new first person animations and enveloping the gun to the FPM?

That means you could only have one weapon for the unit. You can't swap FPMs on the fly.

Or you could try to animate a muzzle effect to have a custom msh to move back a bit, but it'd be sloppy and not worth the effort really.

As this was said in the last topic, it isn't possible, you cant animate a weapon.

However if you only want to animate the character, there are plenty of tutorials in the XSI thread, i'm sure you can find one about it.
