How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.
I hope this topic isn´t too annoying...
I am new at this stuff (modeling) and just wanted to ask what I can open or edit with blender at least. I´m sorry that I don´t understand the FAQ to this, but everything I try to open doesn´t work. msh, wrl, obj...So, what can I do with blender at least?
I thought I had. And I searched in gametoast. I probably understand this wrong, but I thought I´ve read that I can open .obj-files with blender
EDIT: And how can I run/install this one? It´s an unknown file and I can´t open it. I already had an obj-converter, too. But I couldn´t oben an .obj file with blender...

why dont you search yourself before making this topic when you are being sorry for it?
i was faster fragme !
@Coley: you should really start scanning posts, not just skimming over them while writing the next post
(it may be hard but it makes it for both you and us much more easy)
So are you saying that the importer/exporter in the link doesn't work for you?
If so check the Blender site to see if they have a help section for that.
Or that it won't open files converted by Repsharpshooters program.
If this is the case, search the web for free to use .obj files (turbosquid.com is a good site to look at) and see if one of those obj files will import properly.
Ok now I have a working converter. But blender again doesn´t open the exported obj. If I click on file/import/wavefront(.obj) it went automatically back to the start screen
