How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.
@The Nasal Abyss: great head and i guess it will be a sith, but idk who
@MandeRek: awesome model, love it
@Andewegt: this is epic, i like it so much, the breather is so detailed, wow and the trooper looks like real HD, cool
Not very much actually, hasnt taken me long either. If you dont notice what it is on the first look, its a TCW clone pilot(without color/marks). Completely with breather thingy. Just quickly posed him for viewing pleasure. 5938 tris, wireframe:

Excellent .
I concur :plokoon:
Better than I expected, but I should have known, Its ANDE,
Yeah, there wasn't much detail on the head yet so I wasn't thinking anybody would successfully guess. Anyway, it's Han Solo/Harrison Ford. Now that you guys know who it is, can you tell me if it looks like him? I'm debating whether or not to finish modelling/texturing him, so I would need a little motivation.

Here is the final pre-release video of the ATPT. Put an orange light into the world to accentuate the model. If you look at the shadow in the first part of the video you can see the front turret guns move.
Also is a jpg of the texture I created from scratch. While it is okay I think it shows I am more of a modeller than an artist. Thank goodness for ambient occlusion.

Looks great and the animations are superb too. Just one problem: it's far too big! AT-PTs are basically tougher AT-RTs; no way should they dwarf an AAT. The PT stands for Personal Transport. They're one man vehicles. AATs are three man vehicles (or three droid). Unless the AT-PT is being driven by Hagrid, it's somewhat oversized in its current state.
EDIT: After watching the video again just to make sure, I'd say it's about twice as big as it should be, based on the relative sizes of the AAT and the troopers when perspective is taken into account. It fits one man in the front half of the fuselage, and it's a bit cramped. You shouldn't be able to stand up inside one.

At first I didnt agree, but while gathering evidence to defend its current size, I was corrected.
At this time, it is over 2 times the size it should be. It is not an at-st. It should be less than half the size of the aat.
Except if you take a unit and put it in the cab while you are modelling to get a realistic size reference it is the right size.
If it was half sized his head and feet would be sticking out.
It is smaller than an ATST, yes I did that comparison too.
Here's a thought maybe the AATs are scaled wrong (personnally haven't checked so that is conjecture).
Regardless it is what it is, if you desire a smaller one feel free to make one.
@Captain Mike: There already was a LEGO modeling showcase thread in the past, made by Commander_Fett I believe, where peoples were able to show there creation with XSI or with Lego Digital Designer. Well, that would be cool to see this thread again.
