GT-1: Gametoast's New Mod Team Announce a New Map

Post by eddie »

GT-1 is a new mod team formed by Eddie and Saturn V.

GT-1 presents Jai Nollan. Our first joint effort and test map.

The map includes some sick urban fighting and new objects never seen in SWBF maps. This is an infantry only map with a lot of neutral spawns inside the town of Jai Nollan. We are at 0.7 stage and we hope to release beta for you soon. In the meantime, here are some screenshots:

w00t !!!!

You KNOW this is gonna rock. Eddie & SaturnV make a map together? That's gonna be nearly as good as Nuts'n'Gum !

Edit: It's hard to see from the screen grabs, but in the bottom left one, Eddie has shot out one of the window panes and can fire at the stormie through the resulting hole.

This map also has an easter egg - the bookshelf you can see in the background of one of the pictures is textured with a photo I took of my own bookshelf. Just how many copies of "Big Jugs" do I own? Now's your chance to find out...

Looking good!
But makes me sad to see what could have been done to this game if we have had a working XSI modtool addon

I think eddie should put in the jet troop and droideka, but not so many of them( since the unit number is 250 we should have very few droideakes and jet troopers)

im one of the few players that actually likes using droideka :) and it sad to see them removed from many maps. i think a jet trooper without the jetpack would be a good idea

Rends, I made original textures slightly bumpmapped, so they look like they have bumpmaps regardless of your video settings. In our next map we plan to have separate bumpmaps for objects.

Bumpmapping are second textures wich will give flat textures a depth look.
Have a look at the 2 images you will find at this website:
