Shiney skins?

Shiney skins?

i recently edited some skins i decomposed them than composed them to get rid of the checkerd layer covering them i than edited them how i wanted but ingame they are like shiney it looks wierd how do i get it not shiney?

Is that all you did? You didn't edit anything else or add another effect to the skin?
You can always put the translucency back in by going to: Colours -> Colour to Alpha. I've never really tried it before so I'm not sure if it'll work or not.

decompose again, recompose with the original alpha layer back in.

Because your method converts a whole color to alpha. This method (which, btw, is in the FAQ) adds in the original alpha layer, which is necessary to get rid of the shine.

oh alpha layers get rid of shine i thought they added it :oops:

when u say decompose then recompose with the alpha back in how do i do that cuz when i try to decompose i get a message that says no alpha channle avalable

When decomposing your RGB image, make sure you choose to decompose into "RGB" and when you recompose, make sure you choose "RGBA" (see the difference :wink: )
