well....mom always told me if I had nothing good to say , bla bla bla.
No intro movie, no map on the hud so there was no way to plan around the map, the bots on my team at every cp ran into nearby mountains and strafed against walls while when i played on the clones i was running around in the middle of an empty desert with no enemy in site. I like the dark sky and the fiery mountains , its a good premise for a map but you need some clinger, buildings or anything to participate in my boredom. Anyways nice job on a first try.

Ok I tryed your map. The sky was realy cool, but the rest of the map was confusing. I know its your first map, and to be fair my first was worse. I actuly never released it. lol Don't give up, you got talent, give it time to grow into full fleged skill.
If you'd like I'll give you a few tips.
1. the blend option in height is your freind. it will smooth terrain for a more organic look.
2. bots are only as smart as their scripted. use paths to tell them were to go
3. try to make maps with some history, a porpose. place buildings, vehicles, and assets in a way to make the game play constant and enjoyable.
Again don't think im picking on you, im not, great first effort. I will look for some great maps from you in the future.

Hmmm yep well lit's Urdur Hakon but not as we know it. to be honest you should have stuck to the tutorial and then gone from there, it kinda looks like you got stuck or bored halfway through it. Kamino sky if I remember right, you should have tried the lava bit too. Also v.1.2 is kinda worrying but got to move on cos it all sounds a little harsh from me, sorry, please don't let this put you off. keep looking at the really great maps out there and let them inspire you. Gametoast is a great resource for answers to all your questions so fetch pen and paper and think up something great, add effects and learn about paths odfs and all that fun stuff. You've also got to bare in mind that most people don't release anything so at least your now on the road to bigger and better things. Check out Rends thread, every body gets bad reviews, they just get less and less as you go along. Good luck with your next map!

I did follow the the tut but the lava flow didnt work and kept crashing the game and SP TEST so i removed them. as for the version number i released a beta version wich was 1.0 then i added the script file for server play 1.1 wich i used to make the trailer it did have efx but was worse than KOTOR II as far as bugs and crashes then this map as 1.2 and i dont take this as a bad review i take it as my EPI with time ill have my EP IV wich is the best out of the whole saga imo thanx for the feedback keepem comingCarbineImpulse wrote:Hmmm yep well lit's Urdur Hakon but not as we know it. to be honest you should have stuck to the tutorial and then gone from there, it kinda looks like you got stuck or bored halfway through it.
