Guys i have BF2 and installed Modding Tools.I created one empty map without the edit it.Then i go to BUILD folder of my map and click munge.
However the munge procces was only 2-3 seconds and after that it stoped and i get some strange error.Something like: LuaC error.I try alot of things but nothing.
I tryed and the munge_fix but still its not munging my map.To be honest i dont even know where to place all the files from the munge_fix so i place them in Modding Tools/Data.
When i munge my map i see on the end only this: (the 3 letter name of my map is TER)
Munging addme.lua...done.
Copying files to Battlefront II directory:
"D:\Games\Battlefront 2\GameData"
Addon dir exists, continuing...
Creating mod dir "TER" dir in addon dir...done.
Copying addme.script to mod dir...done
Copying "mission.lvl" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "core.lvl" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "TER" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "SIDE" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Munge process finished
2\MOD was unexpected at this time.
The complete map folder is empty. What to do?

Re: Munge fix dont work for me (windows7) HELP!
Thanks for the link friend but still its not working.I download that and place it like they saids (into ModdingTools/Data).
Then i created a new empty world map and click visualmunge and then munge and the same problem appear again.
LuaC returned to 1.
Unexpected error.
Dont know what to do...I searched all around the internet and here.I tryed everything. And i am not some newbie.
I modded BF1 for 3.5 years i know what i am doing.BF2 mod tools is not so different.

Try this, its an all in one data pack for W7/8 modding. Extract everything into the data folder in your mod tools, it has most of the fixes for munges. I wish you well on your modding for BF2, you conecpts/maps for bf1 are amazing.

Make sure none of the folder names in your installation path have spaces in them.Ginev wrote:Code: Select all

Bad:
Code: Select all
C:\Modding Stuff\Battlefront 2\Mod Tools\
C:\Battlefront II\Mod Tools\

After i place the munge fix still wasnt working but i fix it finally. The problem was the space between the words (the name of the foldiers) like jedi said
Now its working. Thanks alot guys.Someone really need to mention in the munge_fix thread that the space between the words is still important.
Bad: Mod Tools
Good: Mod_Tools
(SOLVED)

Munge fix works, but BF2_modtools is installed in wrong path
This isn't a munge_fix issue. You chose to deviate from the recommended install location, which is at the root of whatever drive letter you use.Ginev wrote:Someone really need to mention in the munge_fix thread that the space between the words is still important.
If folks just let the installer run its course then this would never be a problem.BF2_modtools Readme File wrote:... It is also highly recommended that you install this to the default directory as other directory names could cause potential conflicts when building maps.

Re: Munge fix dont work for me (Windows 7) [Solved]
I change the path because my build of the computer is different from all others computers. It tells me to install Modding Tools in C driver but the problem for my computer is that i dont have too much space in C drive, however i have 550 Gb in D drive so i change the path which cause the problem. And yes sometime i really dont watch when i read something important like that you show me here AceMastermind
Anyway i am starting my "new" generation of maps.I know pretty much everything about BF1/2 modding and since i can make custom models i can make someting similar to what FREE RADICAL BF3 was. (Ground to space) + some battlefield 3/4 destruction environment. (my BF1 Tatooine City map(the models aren't perfect))
