Well, now that I have rebuilt my computer and have the ability to mod again, I figured I'd make a comeback to the GT community. I've always loved Galactic Marines, and I saw B.I.G. Cookie's GM skin in the Glamour Skins thread, I was inspired.

Thus, this has come about.

Give the Jet Trooper a non-invisible jetpack :runaway:
Recolor the Kama's to match the skins
Do Bakara's skin
New laser effects, courtesy of Aman/Penguin
New grenade model
Fix up Bakara's chaingun issues....

Nice work, DRK! My only gripe is with the boots and knee-pads, they are kind of sketchy, they don't look like boots/knee-pads, but like textures in a model... otherwise, it's pretty good in my book.

Very nice skins, but can you make them so that you can play them on the Convo Pack maps?? Delta does it with his.

I'll make some addonmeshes to make those look better, thanks for pointing that out.

Not bad. I think it's rather nice. You could perhaps use the Imperial snowtrooper model and the single jetpack effect that Majin Revan (or whoever) made for Commander Cody. That way it would

A). Look like a marine
B). Not have an invisible jetpack.

that's one good idea you are planning there.
a very simple thing that is coming to my mind: jet troopers with kamas are a total no-go. i hope i do not have explain this. ;)
otherwise i am looking forward to the release of this project. keep it up!

He can use a jettrooper with a kama if he wants to.

hrhrhr... all these "explainations" were created afterwards and are quite flimsy. clones just wear kamas because someone found them to look good or special. i could in fact give you a logical and funded explaination why any sort of skirt is total nonsense (not only because of jet packs) but okay... it is just star wars and i often see myself wanting too much realism. so before getting off-topic and hijacking this thread for realism discussions i suggest to ask deviss-rex. he is quite a stud in terms of hex editing. maybe he can help by "hexing" a jet pack onto a marine trooper.

It is already that way.

I had DEVISS make a new model for the Marines, but for some odd reason it won't work with the mod, but it works with everything else.

Neither.

It's similar to RepSharpShooters Unofficial 1.2 patch, where it overrides the stock files, but the changes are only visual, so you can play as the Galactic Marines on any map, even in online matches.

Oops...forgot to add -maps to the model texture on that one.

The model has slight issues with addon meshes, so either I have to have Deviss hex all the meshes I need on, or I have to do it myself.

Like? Dislike? Post yer opinion on the knees.
