Hey everybody. This section is for the NEW Call Of duty: Black ops (Cod7)
Il Keep this main page updated. So you dont have to browse everypage to find some new information.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is on course for a scheduled release date in November 2010 and sources have revealed that it will be set between World War II and the present day.
The Treyarch-developed shooter is rumoured to take gamers across the planet, including missions set in Cuba and South America, according to Call of Duty website experts Tek9, who have talked to 'undisclosed sources at Activision'.
Players will also reportedly get the chance to play as a member of the Special Air Service (SAS) during a close combat mission in the Iranian embassy siege during the 1980's.
The game is also hinted to feature the popular “zombie mode”, in which players are confronted with waves of zombies, an extra that was made popular by Treyarch-developed Call of Duty:World at War.
PC gamers will be given the additional bonus of dedicated servers according to the report, to alleviate some of the problems gamers experienced with previous titles.
Activision have refused to confirm or deny any of the rumours so far.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, developed by Infinity Ward rather than Treyarch, has already become Britain's second best-selling game despite only being launched in November 2009.
I might just get this game. I avoided the Modern Warfare series since those games were pretty overrated, but Black Ops has enough of my interest that I'll play it, if only for the single-player campaign.
Amazing
Is it just me, or did that guy in the scene just before it said "We need to bring him back" sort of look like Zakhaev?...could just be my imagination, but that would be strange.
I imagine that the game will be a series of playthroughable memories, like the Animus or like the ODST items, and you'll go from time period to time period. Some of the weapons and vehicles are post Vietnam, and the clock in the trailer says 2010, so that's my guess.

I kind of have to agree. I guess that was another reason I didn't get Modern Warfare - it had wore out on me by then.
I must say this has my interest. For all the flack Treyarch appears to take for WaW, I think they did a decent job with it, and it looks like they're going to do at least as well here. Really, I think they've already done one better, by what I saw in the trailer analysis, and the possibility of actually having dedicated servers. I'll have to see how this plays out, but it may quickly become another "must have" for me.

Looks awsome, specially the base jumping. I cant wait. Btw at the end when it comes up with "Call of duty Black ops" theres a guy sitting down behind it with his arms on his knees. Does that mean something?
He's just sitting, forearms over the knees, with his sidearm at the ready. I think it's just there to emphasize the setting. It could be one of the characters, a representation of your ingame self, or just there because of its visual appeal, but it's too early to tell. It sort of conveys the sense that one doesn't truly relax.
