All right guys, I know I've been away for a while (again), but I'm back to tell that things are still going well.

Not very recently I added a hunt mode to the map. It takes place deep inside the nearby facility. It's a good mode to play when you get bored of conquest or CTF.

Another thing I've been working on is the sound part. I plan to add soundspaces to the corridors, so there will be a little "echo" inside them. I'm also planning to add soundstreams. If somebody knows a good one to go with the snowstorm, feel free to PM me. I have one here but I'm pretty sure there might be a better one out there. I'll be also using shipped soundstreams to make things more pleasurable to the ear (or not).

So, that's pretty much it. I'm almost certain I'm missing many other things I've done, but you'll be able to see them all when the map is released.

Now, some pictures showing more of the map. Nothing really new, but I didn't want to give you just a wall of text.

Very nice atmosphere, although is the blizzard lightening up since the first few screenshots? The fog seemed thicker before, somehow.

The maps blizzard is still the same. It's less thick because when I took these pictures, the view distance setting on the video option was on max.

This is one important thing to mention about this map. The fog intensity will vary greatly depending on the player's view distance setting.

Just don't turn it down too much or the AI will be able to shoot you from behind the fog. :lol: :wink:

Me too, but we need to be careful or our drool's gonna freeze in the cold.

This map indeed looks astounding though. If this map is released sometime before Christmas, I know what map I'm playing in the winter (well I can play it anytime and I likely will play anytime, but it's perfect for the Christmas season). :D So much polish. It looks amazing.

Everytime I come on my computer I check this thread to see if there's any updates on this map. Can't wait to play it.

Not sure if it's been asked or not yet, but will there be custom sides on this map? Or will it be compatible with BFX or Dark Times or any of those widespread mods?

Custom sides no. But I seriously consider the idea of making it compatible with mods such as BFX, Dark Times and maybe others.

Oh, and talking about updates, some time ago I made a custom texture for the monitor of the extraction room computer and today I thought about giving it glow. I think it looked quite nice.

The monitor looks fantastic. My only gripe is the way the seats sink into the uneven ground. If possible, it would be nice to see the ground leveled out there, or maybe just stick down some sort of flat platform on which you could set the seats/monitor. Like I said, though, that's only a very minor bit of criticism. :)

Unfortunately that's the Polis Massa's cave ground so I can't make it more even. But a platform worked quite well. Thanks for the suggestion Eggman :D .

Oh, and by the way, I've been looking on how to add compatibility for mods such as BFX and Dark Times and I realized it is a bit harder than I thought it would be and it would also demand some more extra time for me to learn it, so I'm looking for someone who could do this for me if possible. (yuke5 already working on this)
