Lightwave help

Post by ShadowHawk »

I am trying to learn lightwave from a tutorial but I ran into a snag. The tutorial is written for 5.6 and 6.0 and I have 9. Can someone help me translate it to my version so I can learn to use it?

I'm finding some options and tools in my version are not where they used to be, so it is confusing.

Zbrush is really good for taking your low res model and adding alot of detail to it and then taking it back into XSI to create normal maps from it. as far as knowing programs, as long as you know max, maya and XSI then your pretty much all set, lightwave is still used but not nearly as much as the other 3.

wait wait

Why would I convert it back to XSI just for making the NormalMaps when ZBrush can make it too..? :?

As for the tutorials, I'd recommend you just read through everything and see if you can find similar ways in your newer version.
