Cloth ODF Question

Post by Alpha »

How would I go about adding the EP3 Sniper's cape to the Rebel Rifleman? Would I copy the ODFs associated with the cape to the respective "ALL" folders in my MODID/Sides and edit the rifleman ODF to have this line added?

[Properties]
ClothODF = "rep_inf_ep3sniper_cape"

Just want to make sure so I don't screw anything up.

You can't. The model has to have a cape already.

Oh...well someone want to make a new player model for me, lol. J/k. I take it this is different than the BF1 system where you could attach capes to other classes.

Yup. Cloth is simply a part of the original mesh. Now you can make the cloth go away entirely from a model by deleting the reference to the cloth odf, but BF2 cloth cannot be changed from model to model. The best you can do is attach Dooku or Vader's cape just like BF1 (using the old msh files)
