Okay I have a question, it should probably go in the game modding forum but no one seems to even go there and it isn't a technically a modding problem sooo...
I've been looking at Battlefield 2 and I think it's pretty cool. I just want to make sure that it's not like, the worst of the series or something and:
My main question is, how is it to mod? I've seen cool mods for it and I'd like to just get a quick assessment on its modability. So I guess if SWBF2 is a 5/10 for modding difficulty then what would it be? My next question would be how much I could do with it, some games you can't change much at all so how much could I do with it? Btw, does it use Lua? I hope so. Thanks in advance.
p.s. I know a lot of research could answer all of the questions but I was hoping someone already knew.
EDIT: Can I use XSI to animate and model for Battlefield 2?
Should I buy BF2?

Re: Should I buy BF2?
I can't answer your main question about modding in Battlefield 2, but I can tell you about it and where it stands in the series.
BF2 is ranked as the best. Right next to 2142. I know there is a health dose of mods out there, like project reality, and sandbox. I believe the community is still alive and kicking.
I would say wait for battlefield 3 if you were going for the game, but so far it looks like no mod tools will come out for it.

Only get it for the PC. EA announced it's shutting down the 360 servers.

Okay well you've sold me on the game, but not the modding part
. Thx anyways. I guess I just want to know, is like super hard to mod or requires $5000 mod tools?
@jendo7, I already looked around at that forum, although I admit not TOO closely.
