The title says it all.

I would have to say that Crysis, Halo and Republic Commando would have to be my top three. Halo was EPIC, I have listened to all of the songs from all three games WAAAYYY to many times. I am still tracking down the Crysis soundtrack but there are some pretty awesome compositions in that game. RC was pure awesomeness, no more need be said.

Weird, yesterday I had this strange feeling that someone was going to create a thread about this topic soon, seriously.

I even searched for my favorite game soundtracks at youtube and bookmarked them.

What can I say? I like fast paced music. Anyway, those are some of my favorite game soundtracks.

Age of Empires, if we discount games that use movie soundtracks.

I'll just go ahead and say Orange Box, as there is an official soundtrack.

I'd also say that the Metroid games, (specifically the Prime ones) have stunning soundtracks. They really draw you in.

And finally, Super Mario Galaxy. I mean, the music was epic.

This is more of a media-type thread so I'm going to go ahead and move it into that forum.

Crysis has a great soundtrack, and so does SMG. I also think SSBB has an awesome soundtrack, just because it basically took the best from a number of the greatest Nintendo games. On that note, I think any of the Zelda Games have great soundtracks.

everquest 1 theme song (only because I played it for so many years)

Never play half of my games with the music on, iTunes FTW. But the games I do love the music to (that I know the music to):

I also kind of liked Combat Arms' music. And although I don't have enough RAM (-_-') to play Crysis with iTunes, I never really noticed its music in anything other that the Crysis Wars trailer.

Well you are really missing out, you may have your music sound turned down to low, or just concentrating to much on what's happening in the game (not that there is anything wrong with that mind) Look some Crysis tunes on YouTube and you should be able to find some of the songs.

umm 1942 has some pretty nice music also.

SSBB, LoZ, Metroid, and KOTOR 1 all have great soundtracks. Claw also had some good music, too. (Am I the only one here who knows what Claw is?)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned any of the Final Fantasies yet. They're up there with the AoE series.

Why didn't you mention it the first time you posted?

I specially like FFVIII soundtrack, the Dollet Landing music is great, FFX is pretty good too.
