New maps and mods are coming out quickly. If you release something (even a beta) please post it here. Be sure to give details in the topic such as Map/Mod name and version
Ok This is my first map that i made just to make sure the tools work, and its a simple conquest with 2 CP's. Ill get some screenies in soon. Got bots and hero, and both eras.
I used eddies legos from SWBFI and then a few droids. My next map is going to be a regular one i hope.
Don't think this will be a complicated perfect map. This is just to prove that you can make maps for SWBF2, and that your creativity can really soar.
To get it to work just unzip and put in ur addon folder if youve patched.
Thanks, I'll try to help others, but the best help i can give is RTFM! (read the @%*#ing Manual) I've done it for both mod tools 1 and 2, and caught on easily. Another suggestion is to start off simple like this, and slowly build up. DONT start off trying to show off to others with this huge map that will never work out! That's the best advice i can give. Mod On!
oh god i dont get it wenever i dload something ven a small file it raises higher and higher it takes forever to dload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dsaber:
Okay, you said to put it in your addon folder if you've patched. Do you mean the V. 1.1 patch, and if so, where is the addon folder? Call me a n00b (I am one) but I cannot find an addon folder anywhere in the directory.
Varmint go to ur star wars bf2 shortcut right clik it,go to properties,Find Target.......then u will see a folder that says game data double clik on it it should say date then clik it agan it will say lvl p.c. then put in the dloaded map in there just drag the folder in!easy!
the addon folder should be here -> C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
In case you dont have a folder and you did install patch 1.1, just make a folder called "addon" (with that capitalization)
Thanks very much Jabba. Yeah, I installed it in my lvl PC folder and backed up the other files, tried to run the game and it just went back to the desktop. Funny how sometimes patches don't create folders that they should?
EDIT: It's a really fun map, but it doesn't take long to beat. I also noticed that while playing as Anakin, I could jump through the roof of the CIS room. Interesting!
Anyways, it's a very fun map!
