I already have MW2 for my 360 but the sad thing is I don't have an adapter to play online so the only chance I've been able to play against someone is when one of my friends come over or my older brother comes home from college and so I've been thinking about getting one of the previous CoD for PC and I'm not sure which one. I've heard that MW1 has like the best campaign and I've seen the trailer and it looks pretty intense and then I also wanna get World at War cuz I like remakes of historical battles like that in WWII and so forth.

So what do you guys think? Should I get MW1 or a more previous one?

CoD2 was the height of the series IMO, followed by MW1 then MW2.

WaW was just plain fail as far as campaign gameplay goes.

Really you thought WaW SP was lame? Best part of the game. Those Russian Missions especially are fun and well executed. For best experience play any difficulty except Veteran though. Grenades, those grenades are everywhere in veteran.

CoD1/UO was the best. Good balance of Infantry and vehicle combat and true skill played a big part in how well you did for MP.

My favourite CoD was Call of Duty World at War, because it has over 100 add ons, and heaps of nazi zombie maps, and playing nazi zombies online is fun coz you and your mates are helping each other shoot wave after wave of incoming zombies, and the world is so realistic, like if you shoot someone in the arm with the sniper, their arm comes off and you can see the organs and blood rippling out, and it looks so real.
And when you burn someone, there body's texture changes into black and all rotten and burnt.
And.. on raining maps, the wood in the world and the wood on your guns actually go soggy and dripping wet.

When your the gunner in the massive attack plane, when you swap position, you actually get out of the seat, walk down the ships hull and get into the other seat : D

You might've seen better but the gore and physics is what I'm on about.

Although when u shoot a tree branch the branch doesn't fall off lol
The Iron Sights are insane, almost better than FarCry 2's iron sights! And the rest blurs out other than your fore sight and rear sight, like hes focusing! Realism people : )
When you shoot someone with a high caliber bullet, more blood and more gore and more blown up bits on the ground!

And when you throw a grenade sometimes they blow off the enemies legs, and they have to cowardly crawl to safety! Unless you jump on their back and teabag them and then knife them:P

And when you friendly fire on purpose, you fail the mission, but if you make it look like an accident by aiming at the enemy then quickly shoot your friend, CoD 5 engine takes that as a 'No, he didn't mean it'.

Single Player is good, if you don't wanna get owned by those hackers and full pros in MP then sit back and relax 'n' run into the open battlefield and shoot everybody in the head somehow without taking a single wound . There are lots of SP missions.

And best of all.....

Cod waw had a awsome single!!!!!!
But anywayz, the multi is a little bit of a downfall (my personal opinion i dont like the gunz) but the co-op is a blast, and if u download all the patches u get an awsome zombie game for free

Cod4 is apparently the best in the series, i agree, the campagin really made me feel for my team

codmw2 the multi player is just pure awsome, i dont have a problem with match making (only i cant play the maps i want to) The maps are pretty balanced imo, the 1st and second slot works quite wel

Call of Duty 1 was a pretty good game, it reminded me alot of Dark Forces, and won the game of the year award. I'd also recommend Call of Duty 2, maybe number 3 (though that was made more for the Wii than anything) and World at War. I personally think MW is overrated. The only reason I want it is just to see s*** blow up. And the British missions were kind of fun.
